Did you know...The Centre Hastings Splash Pad is one of the first splash pads in Ontario to recycle its water? Of all the water that is used in the splash pad only 25% is lost. The remaining 75% is treated and re-circulated through a UV disinfecting method that purifies the water. When it rains, the water from the splash pad is collected in additional tanks and is used for a sprinkler system in the park.
These innovations help to reduce Centre Hastings' water footprint, and represent a wise use of natural resources.
