Centre Hastings Park is now smoke-free. The Park Committee bans smoking within the Park in order to protect non-smokers from environmental tobacco smoke. Passive smoking can lead to serious illnesses in adults such as bronchitis, lung cancer, and cardiovascular disease. Children can also develop chest illnesses and asthma from exposure to tobacco smoke. The move to go tobacco-free, including no smoking, snuffing, dipping, or chewing tobacco, upholds the Park Committee's mission to create a healthy family and community friendly environment.

Arts Centre Hastings proudly presents the Driftwood Theatre performing TWELFTH NIGHT by William Shakespeare at the Arts Centre in Centre Hastings Park (Centre Hastings Park) 230 Durham St. South, Madoc Bard's Bus Tour 2010 ON K0K 2K0 at 7:30 PM on Wednesday August 4

A terrible tragedy. An extraordinary journey. Love, where you least expect it.
The Driftwood Theatre Group is coming to Madoc on the Bard's Bus Tour 2010 to present one of William Shakespeare's most celebrated comedies. Twelfth Night tells the story of one young woman's journey of self-discovery amid a strange, new world after a tragic shipwreck separates her from the only family she knows.
The Driftwood Theatre Group is an outdoor, summer-touring theatre company, sharing the works of William Shakespeare with over 60,000 people across Ontario, Canada for fifteen years. Founded in 1995 and incorporated as a registered, not-for-profit, charitable organization in 1997, Driftwood Theatre is Ontario's most exciting, accessible theatre company. Led by award-winning Artistic Director / General Manager Jeremy Smith, Driftwood is dedicated to reaching out to audiences in urban and rural communities across the province that do not normally have access to professional, classical theatre.
Driftwood's philosophy is simple. All audiences, regardless of socio-economic, physical or geographical considerations, should have access to high-quality, professional theatre. These touring outdoor-summer performances are available for Pay-What-You-Can admission. Join us for a unique and entertaining evening to experience the work of Shakespeare as they were originally intended - live and onstage.
